Tab Trade - What It Is
TabTrade went live in March 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It means the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.
What You Trade On
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from one account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. cBot support. A lot of traders prefer it after using both.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly coming. That will make the platform set when it arrives.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. The point is they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.
Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.
Safety
This is the part that matters. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of your decision.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal is worth it comes down to your priorities.
